Screening for ocular diseases during annual eye exams
- Screening for ocular diseases: cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, macular degeneration
- Systemic screening for glaucoma and other ocular fundus disorders with the use of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and retinal photography, as of 30 years old or younger when necessary
- In depth analysis of the optic nerve and/or of the macula with the use of Optical Coherence Tomography
- In depth analysis of the optic nerve and/or of the macula with the use of Optical Coherence Tomography
- Ocular surface and lid examination: ocular dryness, redness, allergies, blepharitis, styes, etc.
Management of minor ocular emergencies
- Evaluation and treatment of red eyes, conjunctivitis, superficial non-central foreign objects, ocular allergies, ophthalmic drop prescriptions
- Fundus evaluation for flashes and floaters as well as urgent referrals if retinal tares or detachments are found
Important: Outside of clinic hours, please make your way to a medical clinic or to the hospital closest to you. Examples of ocular emergencies that require immediate attention: chemical products in the eye, sudden loss of vision, trauma, laceration, sudden double vision.

- Screening for ocular side effects of systemic medication (Ex: Plaquenil, hydroxychloroquine, Gilenya, corticosteroids, etc.)
- Screening for ocular side effects of systemic diseases: diabetes, hypertension, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, strokes, ocular herpes, shingles, rosacea, etc.
- Referrals to ophthalmology and follow-ups for ocular surgeries or emergencies
- Consultation reports to family physicians and pediatricians
